Explain the concept of 'Backtracking'.

Approach: Describe a search method that abandons a candidate solution if it cannot be completed.

An algorithmic technique for finding all (or some) solutions to some computational problems, notably constraint satisfaction problems, that incrementally builds candidates and abandons them as soon as it determines they cannot lead to a valid solution.

Follow-up: Name a common problem solved with backtracking.

Key concepts: n-queens, state-space tree, pruning.
