What is Cross-Validation?
What is Cross-Validation?
Approach: Describe splitting data to assess model performance.
A technique to evaluate the generalization ability of a model. In K-fold cross-validation, the data is split into K subsets. The model is trained on K-1 subsets and tested on the remaining one, repeating the process K times so every point is used for testing exactly once.
Follow-up: What is Stratified K-fold?
Key concepts: k-fold, test set, holdout.
