Position Overview:

Walleye Capital is seeking highly analytical, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Finance & Accounting Interns for Summer 2027. The Finance & Accounting team plays a critical role in supporting the firm’s financial operations, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis while partnering with teams across the organization to support informed decision-making and strategic initiatives.

As a Finance & Accounting Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to the financial and operating dynamics of a multi-strategy investment firm. You’ll work alongside experienced finance professionals on projects that provide insight into how a hedge fund manages its financial resources, evaluates business performance, and plans for future growth. Throughout the internship, you’ll have opportunities to develop practical finance and accounting skills, strengthen your analytical capabilities, and build an understanding of the infrastructure that supports an investment management business.

The internship is 10 weeks in length and will take place in New York City from June through August 2027.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of recurring management reporting packages for senior leadership.

Analyze actual financial results and identify key trends and drivers of performance.

Support preparation of monthly reporting, including revenue, expenses, headcount, and other key financial metrics.

Support the firm's annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
